By putting your images out there at all, I guess it's showing off, but it feels kind of strange to post awards and publications etc for something that is so subjective and individual. The idea of competitive art is just as weird. But aside from building social media followings, competitions are one of the few ways of getting your landscape photographs recognised and in front of people.
 
 
I don't see competition success as a measure of photographic ability by any manner of means, but it does help to bring a perception of legitimacy within general public opinion. So, here's my little list from recent years. It's also fun to put all of these on one page.
